Birth: Dec. 2, 1872
East Boston
Suffolk County
Massachusetts, USA
Death: Jul. 19, 1943
Methuen
Essex County
Massachusetts, USA

On January 28, 1872 his parents George Munn and Ellen Harvey were married. John Michael Munn was born December 2, 1872, residing at 42 Eutaw Street in East Boston. He at some point changed his middle name to Joseph. His full name became John Joseph Michael Munn. He was the oldest of 5 children, 3 boys 2 girls.
His father worked as a Laborer and he grew to work as a Moulder. At the age of 24 he married Margaret Mary Wright, who had arrived here from Liverpool England around the age of 18. They were wed on August 2, 1896 in East Boston. John resided at 83 Brook Street at the time.
While living in East Boston the newlywed couple began their family. Their first Daughter was born Annie Jane Munn on November, 27, 1897. She was named for her grandmother Ann Harvey. Her name was later changed to Ellen Jane(I believe at around the time of her grand mother's death). For some reason she then changed it to Helen Jane, which it remained until her death.
On Septenber 19, 1899 another daughter Margaret Munn was born. She was known to her family and friends as Peg. The family moved to 98 Border street in East Boston prior to giving birth to the third daughter Mary. She was born on May 3, 1901.
The young family moved to 13 Carleton St. in Peabody, MA by 1904. That is where their daughter Alice S. Munn was born on May 14, 1904. Although born Alice S. she was Baptized Louise on May 29, 1904 by Reverend Patrick Masterson at St. Jonh The Baptist Church in Peabody. Her God parents (sponsors) were John Duffy and Helen O'Brien.
Another move to 469 Broadway in Lawrence, MA brought with it, the birth of twin daughters Catherine and Mabel on September 18, 1905. The couple moved again to neighboring Methuen, MA.in 1905-1906. Sadly Catherine died on January 6,1906 and Mabel died on Janaury 14,1906.
The couple lived in several houses on Spruce St. in Methuen and Lawrence before taking up their permanent residence at 11 Annis Street. in Methuen, MA. John worked mostly as a moulder, but changded to an elevator operator at Arlington Mills before his retirement in 1940. John Joseph Michael Munn died on July 19,1943, while living at 11 Annis St. of Artic Insufficiency and Arterial Sclerosis. He was survived by his wife, 4 daughters, and 11 grandchildren.
