Margaret Mary Wright was born on February 26,1870 to Patrick Wright and Jane Matthews Wright. She immigrated to the United States of America about 1888.
Only stories, remembered by family members, tell the tale of her youth. As a young girl, she lost both her parents and was raised by an aunt and uncle. From what I am told, she always talked about "Jamsie the Miller", believed to be her uncle.
After her arrival in the United States, she met and fell in love with Jonh Joseph Michael Munn of East Boston. They married August 2,1896 in East Boston, Massachusetts.
On November 27,1897 their first of 6 daughters was born. Named Annie Jane for her paternal great grandmother and maternal grandmother. She later took her grandmothers name Ellen in place of Annie at a young age, and eventually change it to Helen Jane. Their next daughter was Margaret Mary born on September 19,1899. She was followed by Mary Louise on May 3,1901.
After the birth of Mary, the young family moved to Peabody, Massachusetts. It was there, that Alice S. was born on May 14,1904. Born Alice, she was baptized Louise on May 29,1904 at St. John The Baptist Church in Peabody, MA.
After her birth, the family moved further North to 469 Broadway, Lawrence, Massachusetts. The growing family was blessed with the birth of twin daughters. Named Catherine and Mabel, the arrival on September 18,1905 was short lived. Catherine died on January 6,1906 and Mabel passed on January 14,1906. It is recorded that the twins died in the town of Methuen, which neighbors Lawrence.
The family had moved between a few homes on Spruce street in both Lawrence and then Methuen. They finally purchased a home and settled permanently at 11 Annis St in Methuen, Massachusetts.
On April 9,1954 Margaret Mary Wright Munn passed away. She was survived by 4 duaghters and 10 grandchildren.
