SERVICES HELD FOR WM. ARMSTRONG
William Earl Armstrong, 79, of Buckeye Township, died suddenly at his home Friday.
Born in Huron County on Dec. 30, 1889, he came to Gladwin County 56 years ago.
Mr. Armstrong was a farmer, a member of the Farm Bureau and the Beaverton First Presbyterian Church.
He was married to the former Catherine Sinclair on March 27, 1913, in Elkton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nina McMahon, of Buckeye Township and Mrs. Alta Lindenburg, of Midland; two sons, Ellif and William, of Wauseon, Ohio; two brothers, Glen, of Pontiac and Ellis, of Bad Axe; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.
Services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger J. Browne officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 10-15/1969
