Burton I. Aalbregtse, 78, North Port, died Nov. 29, 2002, in Venice. He was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Schoolcraft, Mich., and worked 28 years for Atlas Press in Kalamazoo. He was in the Army Air Forces in World War II and was active in Boy Scouting for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo and later attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Lawton, Mich., and Trinity United Methodist Church, North Port.
Survivors include his wife, Madge E. (Blair); children R. John of Winnetka, Ill., Janette Slinn of Seattle and Anne Visser of Kalamazoo; brothers John Albrets of California, Walter of Illinois and Gary of Florida; a sister, Joan Haffenden of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services and burial will be in Michigan, where Langeland Family Funeral Homes is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, South Sarasota Unit, 2100 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34293.
