Charles H. Kuhl
Birth: Nov. 6, 1915
Death: Jan. 31, 1971

United States Army Soldier. During World War II, he was stationed in Europe when he was wounded and had to be hospitalized. The hospital received a visit from General George Patton a few days later and when talking to Charles Kuhl, Patton took his black glove and slapped Kuhl across the face for no apparent reason and left. The slap gained nationwide attention at the time. (bio by: K)

Patton didn't realize he was really physically sick. Kuhl didn't know either because the doctors at the VA misdiagnosed him. Some things never change.
