David Edgar Goss of Eugene died Nov. 2 of unknown causes. He was 59.

Mr. Goss was born Jan. 9, 1945, in Fallbrook, Calif., to Richard and Sarah Ursham Goss. He married his wife, Christie, on Sept. 6, 1975, in Ashland.

He received a bachelor of arts degree from Southern Oregon State College, and served in the Army for four years during the Vietnam War. He had lived in Eugene for the past 23 years.

He had worked in woodworking and electronics. He enjoyed history, archaeology, woodworking and Bible study. He belonged to Morning Star Community Church in Eugene.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Sacramento; a son, Stephen of Eugene; a daughter, Laura Goss of Bangkok, Thailand; two stepsons, Seth Ricker of Los Angeles and Jed Ricker of Atlanta; three brothers, Leonard of Salem, Justin of Hamilton, Mont., and Ted of Los Angeles; and three sisters, Rosalinda Hitt of Los Angeles, Edie Thomas of Sacramento and Lola Allen of Portage, Wis.

Burial in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
