Mrs. Eva Crim Dies at Age of 95
Mrs. Eva May [Brown] Crim, 95, pioneer resident of Emmet county, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday [August 3, 1956] while in a coma following a stroke she suffered one week ago today.
She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Robb, 220 South Ninth street, where she had resided for seven years.
Mrs. Crim was born Dec. 20, 1861 in Bangor, Me. Her parents moved to Boone county in 1867, and there she received her education.
On Jan. 28, 1881, she was married to Albert Crim at Boone where they farmed for two years until the spring of 1883 when they moved to Emmet county to live in a log cabin in Wallingford.
Her husband farmed at Wallingford for five years, until they moved to a farm three and a-half miles southeast of Estherville. Mr. and Mrs. Crim moved to Estherville in the 1930's.
Mrs. Crim was a member of the First Methodist church, and a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clem Luikart, Minneapolis; Mrs. George Robb, Estherville; two sons, Lloyd and Willard Crim, both of Estherville; nine grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services have been arranged for 2 p.m. Monday at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Harrison G. Dawes officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Six of her grandsons will be pallbearers. They are: Wayne and Vance Crim of Estherville; J. Merrill Robb, Hopkins, Minn.; Kenneth Luikart, Minneapolis; James Crim, Sioux City; and Robert Crim, Mason City.

Out-of-town relatives and friends here to attend funeral services held Monday afternoon at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home for Mrs. Eva Crim included Mr. and Mrs. J. Jacobson and Edgar Crim, all of Stratford; Floyd Crim, Stanhope; Severt Crim, Boone; Severt Mathre, mason City; Mrs. Oscar Lindquist, Mrs. Agnes Iseminger, Mrs. Fred Brown and daughters, Jean and Jane, all of Fort Dodge; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brickson, Cherokee; Mr. and Mrs. Evan Higgins and family, Maple Plain, Minn.; Mrs. J.M. Robb, Hopkins, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Clem Luikhart, Minneapolis. Mrs. Clem Luikhart had been here at the home of her sister, Mrs. George Robb, during the last week of Mrs. Crim's illness.
