WINNSBORO - Services for Byron Wren Armstrong, 77, Winnsboro, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Winnsboro, with the Rev. David Rose officiating.
Burial will be 4 p.m. at Faulkenberry Cemetery, Groesbeck, under direction of Beaty Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Mr. Armstrong died Feb. 22, 2007, in Tyler.
He was born Oct. 15, 1929, in Groesbeck to Delma and Sarah "Tilley" Clancey Armstrong. He served in the Army during the Korean War, was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church, Winnsboro, and a retired oilfield specialist for Getty Oil Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Thelma Nadyne McKie Armstrong, on July 16, 2006; daughter, Karen Armstrong; brother, Gene Armstrong; sister, Jackie Oliver.
Survivors include daughter, Diane Ford, Waxahachie; one sister; one grandson; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Ganaway, John McAuley, Henry Spiva, Doyle Taylor and Tommy Thurman.
Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, Winnsboro.
