Thomas Roy Jones, nicknamed Dub all his life by his Grandpa Roy Gay. The loving son of Charles Ellery Jones and Doris Gay Jones.
Husband of Tammy Gadden Jones and father to son Austin. Previously married to Barbara Moses Jones and father to four boys Troy, Ricky, Brett, and Jason. Numerous granchildren. Also survived by his sister Marsha and brother Joe.
Dub was a veteran, having served in the Military during the late 1960's to the early 1970's.
He comes from a long line of relatives in the Polk County, Texas area. Many ancestors are buried in the Holly Grove Cemetery and the Magnolia Hill Cemetery, both located in the community of Segno.
Dub was always a loving son, husband and father who loved family reunions and all the good cooking of his mother, grandmothers and aunts. He always had a laugh and a big hug for everyone.
According to his wishes, he was cremated and he requested his ashes be scattered in Menard Creek in the Segno area of Polk County. He had swam and fished in the creek while he was growing up, and he hunted along it's banks during deer season every year.
A veteran's memorial marker was placed in the Holly Grove Cemetery near his father, Charles Ellery Jones and his brother, Joseph Glenn Jones.
