School teacher, business woman, active in United Methodist Church South Shore, Ky. She graduated from So. Portsmouth High School in 1937 as valedictorian of her class. She attended Morehead State College from 1937 to 1939. She began her teaching career in a one room school at Crane Creek in 1939. She also served as a teacher at Zion Hill and Walsh Schools. In 1941, she married Henry R. Alexander. During World War II, she taught at McKell High School, So. Portsmouth High School and So. Portsmouth Elementary School. Between 1957 and 1978, she and Hank owned and operated a number of businesses including Alexander's Appliance Store, an Ashland Oil Service Station, a automobile repair garage and So. Shore Dollar Store. She was a member of Honorable Order to Kentucky Colonels. Mother of Donna Alexander Lander(James) and Natalie Dean Alexander Fuller (Maxwell). Grandchildren, Rev. J.R. Lander, Drew Fuller, Esq.,(Jennifer Randolph) Erin Fuller (Jeff Jeffries), and Justin Fuller. Daughter of Edward H. Williams and Harriet Callahan Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers; Edward C., Ralph Thomas, Raymond, and William Ellis Williams.
