In 1941, she married Henry R. Alexander. During World War II, she taught at McKell High School, So. Portsmouth High School and So. Portsmouth Elementary School. Between 1957 and 1978, she and Hank owned and operated a number of businesses including Alexander's Appliance Store, an Ashland Oil Service Station, a automobile repair garage and So. Shore Dollar Store. She was a member of Honorable Order to Kentucky Colonels. Mother of Donna Alexander Lander(James) and Natalie Dean Alexander Fuller (Maxwell). Grandchildren, Rev. J.R. Lander, Drew Fuller, Esq.,(Jennifer Randolph) Erin Fuller (Jeff Jeffries), and Justin Fuller. Daughter of Edward H. Williams and Harriet Callahan Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers; Edward C., Ralph Thomas, Raymond, and William Ellis Williams.
