ROSALIE W. GRUDEN - 1981 OBITUARY
A former Heidelberg resident, Rosalie W. Gruden, passed away September 9, 1981, in her home on Vogliano Street, Meadow Lands (Washington County) following a long illness. She was 59 years of age.
Born March 29, 1922, in Heidelberg, she was the daughter of Anthony and Martha Romanchak Waypa.
A graduate of Clark High School (now the Chartiers Valley School District), she was formerly employed by Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands and a past president of its Christian Mothers Confraternity.
In addition to her husband, John F. Gruden, she is also survived by two sons, Thomas J. Gruden of Jamestown, N.Y., and James M. Gruden, a senior at the University of Pittsburgh; Two daughters, Mary Ann Gruden of Canonsburg and Mrs. James A. (Bernadette) Charlton of Bethel Park; two brothers, Michael Waypa Sr. of Dearborn, Michigan, and Andrew Waypa Sr. of Heidelberg; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Zagorsky of Carnegie, Mrs. Martha Popivchak of Carnegie, and Mrs. Evelyn Dorish of San Jose, California. Also surviving is a grandson, Andrew Gruden.
