Son of Elisha Smith and Sarah Smith; married first Abigail Smith, and married second Elizabeth Smith. NOTE: This is not the Benjamin Smith who married Elizabeth Sparrow.

Served in the Lexington Alarm as a Minuteman and was a member of Committee of Correspondence in the Revolutionary War.

He had many children and among them was Isaac Smith who married Roxa Morton.

Note: I had a lead he was buried in East Whately Cemetery, in Franklin County, Massachusetts. Cemetery searched and grave not found. Moved to location unknown.
