Harriet E. Wise Burrell was the daughter of Cora Weaver Wise and Raymond M. Wise of Trout Run, PA
She was the wife of Sylvester Burrell whom she married on July 4, 1927 in Millport, NY. She resided with Sylvester until his tragic death in 1952.
Harriet was the mother of Charles, Dolores, Allen, Michael and Diane.
Harriet went home to be with her Lord on June 21, 1991 at the Arnot Medical Center.
Mom suffered from seizures most of her life...and tried to hide it because back then people thought people who had seizures were demon possessed...because of that...she couldn't go to my school functions or be included in any social activities brought on by the school or church. I am so sorry my Mother missed out on so much...but more important...I am sorry she suffered so much.
It could not have been easy to lose her husband in a fire, and I seen the pain in her eyes when she lost her granddaughter and then her son.
Years later, thanks to God and medicines, Mom was able to attend my daughters graduation. To the right of this page, you will see a picture of my Mom taken in 1989, just two years before she crossed over. My daughter had just put her graduation cap on my Mom when a local newspaper reporter was filming us as we took pictures of Mom too.
My Mom was so happy that day and I thank God that He worked it out that Mom would be able to attend after missing out so much on my school years. I am so proud of my Mom.
I had the privilege of being with her when she crossed over.
I always told her if it were possible, I would be with her when it was time for her to leave.
My 3 children were with her also...for that, I am so grateful...and proud of them. It couldn't have been easy for them to say good-bye to the Grandma they loved so much.
She was a kind person and known for her great smile and sense of humor.
Mom died of a massive stroke due from complications of aneurysm surgery.
She is my precious Mother and I miss her very much.
