MISHAWAKA - Karl F. Baugher Sr., 72, of Mishawaka, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, January 12 in his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Karl was born on September 16, 1938, in Goshen, IN, and resided in the Mishawaka area since 2008 coming form Garden City, MI. On November 3, 1966, in Detroit, MI, he married the former Ida Y. Sanders who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Kathy L. Bruce and Karleen Davis, both of Mishawaka, IN, and Kimberly Youssef of Melvindale, MI. Four sons also survive, Keith R. Baugher of Mishawaka, Eric W. and Kris Baugher, both of Detroit, MI, and Edmund Sanders of Garden City, MI and a sister, Emily Reif of Ft. Collins, CO. Mr. Baugher was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace W. and Katherine L. (Kern) Baugher, a son, Karl F. Baugher Jr., and a sister, Sonya Savages. His eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive whom he loved and cherished. Karl was a self employed painter prior to becoming ill. He loved fishing, hunting, gun collecting and country music. His favorite song was "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson. Mr. Baugher will be dearly missed by his loving family and all who knew him during his life journey. His wishes were to be cremated and remembered by family and friends during life. His loving family honored his wishes. There will be no visitation or services at this time.
