LaNelle was born April 29, 1938 in Nacogdoches to Curtis and Jeffie Mattison Fountain. In 1946, her family moved to Mexia and she attended school and graduated from Mexia High School in 1956. LaNelle married Larry Earl Myers on October 12, 1956. She was employed as a secretary most of her life but the last few years she enjoyed substitute teaching for Mexia Independent School District. She dearly loved helping the students learn and the friendships she had with the faculty members she worked with. LaNelle was very proud of and spoke often of her husband, children and grandchildren. Two of her grandsons, Ross Mathison and Ryan Mathison are serving our country in the Marine Corp. LaNelle loved her church and was a faithful member of the Senior Adults Couples class at First Baptist Church Mexia.
