Major League Baseball Player. During thirteen years in the major leagues, he played right field for five teams. He played for the Chicago White Sox (1930 to 1932), St. Louis Browns (1932 to 1934), Cleveland Indians (1935 to 1939), Detroit Tigers (1940 to 1941), and Washington Senators (1942). He had a career batting average of .290 with 106 home runs and 766 runs batted in. 
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.

RIP. I wrote him a letter in 1993 as a baseball fan. He sent me back a great rare autographed photo, and wrote me a short letter. Cherished both since and always appreciated it. Thanks Bruce.
