Harold Bleyle, 80, of Dryden, Michigan, passed away May 27, 2009 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington, Michigan.
Harold Ralph Bleyle was the son of Harold Bleyle and Agnes Laura Baker, born on October 3, 1928 in Buffalo, New York where he grew up. He lived in the Detroit area after 1950. Harold spent the last 10 years in Dryden.
He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Harold was stationed at Hicham Field near Pearl Harbor in Hawaii during World War II.
Harold retired from General Motors. He had worked at Willow Run Airport in Detroit for GM as an aircraft mechanic. In the 1970s he worked in the prototype design department at the GM Tech Center in Warren.
He was survived by a son, Scott Allan (Debbie Derewitz) Bleyle of Dearborn. He is preceded in death by a son, Sheldon Bleyle and a daughter, Sandra Lynn Bleyle.
A graveside service was held at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Pastor Kevin Harbin of Imlay City United Methodist Church officiated.
