Lois Eudora Josephine Helseth, 93, daughter of Samuel D. and Bertha Allen Rains, was born Nov. 4, 1912, at Eldon. She died Aug. 20, 2006, at Houston House Nursing Center.
She married Claude Apperson Dec. 31, 1930. They had two children.
She married Thomas E. Drury April 28, 1944. He died May 22, 1957.
She later married Fred M. Helseth, a retired Navy chief petty office, who died June 8, 1967.
She was a secretary at the District 5 office of the Missouri State Highway Department in Jefferson City for several years and was later in the postal department at Fort Leonard Wood. She retired from Civil Service in 1978 and moved to Houston to be near her daughter.
Mrs. Helseth was a member of the Church of Christ, Temple Lot, serving as pianist and church historian for several years.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Adcock and Thelma Evans; one brother, Earl Rains; and her son, Earl Allen Apperson.
Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Keeney of Houston; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 23 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Allen Kauffman officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery.
