Bob also served many years as a football and baseball coach. Bob and his wife Carolyn were married on October 24, 1964. He is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Robin and Stacy Ritchie of Tulsa; son, Randy Hefner of Kaiserslautern, Germany; daughter and son-in-law Heidi Spradlin-Milligan and Alan Milligan of Tulsa; six grandchildren, Page Grummer, Taylor Grummer, Zachary Hefner, Ashton Spradlin, Rachel Ritchie, and Alex Hefner, and one great grandson. His love for his wife and family was unconditional and constant. He was happiest when spending time with and supporting the efforts of his children and grandchildren. The last several years Bob was seldom seen without his best friend, Queenie, a rescued miniature schnauzer, at his side. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Guts Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, December 3, 2010 at three o'clock in the afternoon. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name be made to Guts Church Outreach Programs.
