Mr. Claycomb, 58, of 3242 Old 6th Ave. Road North, Duncansville, died unexpectedly at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1992, at Mercy Hospital.
Mr. Claycomb retired as a machinist from SKF Industries Inc. after 30 years of service.
He was born March 22, 1933, in Altoona, the son of Clark and Mary (Rouzer) Claycomb. He married Thelma M. Stiffler on Sept. 28, 1953, in Carson Valley.
Surviving are his wife, five children: Lewis A., Randy T. and Thelma Stiver of Duncansville, Melodie McIntyre of Martinsburg and Lisa, at home: and nine grandchildren.
Also surviving are his mother, Mary Swan of Bellwood; two sisters and a brother; Gwen Appleman of Williamsburg, Leota Hopkins of Bellwood adn Earl Claycomb of DuBois, and a half sister, Ellen Barado in Florida.
He was a member of Carson Valley Church fo the Brethren.
He was a member and past master of Juniata Lodge, F&AM, Hollidaysburg, a member of Valley of Altoona Consistory and Jaffa Shrine, and a life member of National Rifle Association.
Mr. Claycomb was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a 1951 graduate of Juniata Valley High School.
Friends received at Liebegott Funeral Home in Duncansville Thursday where a Masonic service will follow. Services held Friday 11 a.m. at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren by Rev. Roy C. Myers. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
