Death of Mrs. Harrell Mrs. S.E. Harrell, one of those noble, loving and loveable christian wives and mothers, passed away at her late home in south Rusk, at 1:45 p.m. September 30th. Funeral services conducted by Rev. J.A. Williams, of the First Baptist Church of Rusk, were held at the Chireno cemetery at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, with interment under direction of C.B. Keever of the Rusk Undertaking Company. Julina P. Coulter was born in San Augustine county, January 27th, 1861. She was married to S.E. Harrell, who survives, on October 9, 1877. To this union eight children were born, four of whom died in infancy, the surviving being as follows: Rev. W.T. Harrell, of Palestine; W.B. Harrell, of Rusk; Mrs. Will Payne, of Rusk; Rev. H. B. Harrell, of Chireno. There are also two living sisters, Mrs. T.M. Spurgeon, of Nacogdoches and Mrs. J.H. Fuller, of Huntington, Texas, and a half brother, J.B. Moore, of Chireno. Mrs. Harrell passed her early life in Chireno, but the family moved to Rusk county in 1911, and it has since been their home. Deceased was converted into the Baptist faith at the age of seventeen, and her life was ever after consecrated to the cause of the Lord, and as an evidence of the true Christian influence the good woman exercised we have but to note the fact that two of her sons are in the ministry. Of this true and noble wife and mother it can so truthfully be said that she had so lived as to make her "calling and election sure."
