A tobacconist, as was his father. Lived at 141 Bridge St Georgetown. 5th sergeant in the 1st DC light Infantry (Boyd's Co.)in the Civil War. Recipient of a Civil War pension. John was the father of 5 sons all buried in this family plot, with the exception of James Henry who lived in New York City. Also the father of at least 1 daughter named Sarah of whom nothing is known.
