Mr. Ernest Sack Dead
Mr. Ernest Sack, a retired builder, died Saturday night at his home on Belair road, near Raspeburg.He was 65 years old and had been ill for two years. A widow survives him. Mr. Sack was the builder of Jerusalem Lutheran Church and St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Gardenville.

Mr. Ernest Sack Buried
The funeral of Mr. Ernest Sack, a retired builder, who died Saturday, took place yesterday from his home on Belair road near Hamilton avenue.The services were conducted by Rev. Paul Hoffman, pastor of Zion German Lutheran Church.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Charles, John and Ernest Sack, Charles Gunther and Fred Stahl. Burial was in Baltimore Cemetery.

Born in Bavaria, Ernest Sack was one of the three sons of Adam and Anna Sack. The family arrived in Baltimore County in the early 1850s and settled in the Gardenville area. He married his wife Mary in 1882; they had no children.
The Sacks were carpenters and builders. Ernest's brother, George N. C. Sack (1834-1913), founded a thriving lumber and hardware supply business on Harford Road, George Sack and Sons. The Sacks were prominent members of Jerusalem Ev. Lutheran Church, and a number of the family are buried there.
