Noted Screenwriter. A former English teacher at Yale, Ferris started his work in Hollywood with Fox Studios during the late 1930s. Ferris was married to actress Violet Kemble-Cooper. Writer of 18 films including: "Under Two Flags" (1936), "Lloyd's of London" (1936), "Kidnapped" (1938), "The Little Princess" (1939), "Tom Brown's School Days" (1940). He also wrote the play adaptation that was used for 1998's "Meet Joe Black." (bio by: TLS)
