Andrew D. (Andy) Huddleston, 76, Olton Route, a resident of the Halfway Community since 1925, died at 4 p.m. Monday in Central Plains Regional Hospital after an illness of one week.
Services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Halfway with the pastor, Dr. Harry Lewis, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under direction of Lemons Funeral Home.
Born June 12, 1906 in Wise County, Mr. Huddleston grew up in Knox County and attended Knox County schools. He moved to Halfway in 1925 where he had farmed until his retirement in 1974. He moved into Halfway in 1975.
Mr. Huddleston was a member of the First Baptist Church of Halfway, belonged to the Titus Fidelis Sunday School Class and was a member of the Baptist Brotherhood. He also served on the Finance Comittee of the church. He was a member of the board of directors of the Halfway Coop Gin.
Mr. Huddleston was married to Mattie Harmon April 23, 1929 in Odessa, MO.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Neva) Sherman of Plainview; one sister, Nora Pullen of Clovis, CA, and two granddaughters.
The son of William Newton Huddleston and Virginia Ellen Gore. Siblings: John Luther Huddleston b 1890, Ernest Hugh Huddleston b 1893, Mary Ann Huddleston b 1895, Isbelle Ethel Huddleston b 1899, Bertha L.
