She was born in Buncombe County, to the late Florence Duncan. Nelle retired from Baxter Healthcare. Before her illness, she loved to play BINGO with her sister, Judy. In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her beloved son, David Brooks, who she missed dearly; one brother, William Duncan; and one sister, Lois Jean Lewis. Surviving Nelle are her daughter, Reva Egerton and boyfriend, Roger; one sister, Judy Howard; her grandson who was the love of her life, Dalton Shepherd; a special friend, who she considered her son, Larry Robinson; one nephew, Richard Howard; and two nieces, Angela Howard and Deana Duncan.
