Funeral services for James T Olorenshaw, 85, of Grace were held Saturday, Dec 27, 1986 at the Grace LDS Stake Center with Bishop Bart O. Christensen conducting. Mr. Olorenshaw passed away Monday, Dec. 22 1986, at the Caribou memorial Hospital following an illness.
The family prayer was given by Randy Hubbard. The prelude and postlude were played by Linda Christensen. A musical selection, "Beyond the Sunset," was sung by Wade and Anne Olorenshaw. They were accompanied by Kristi Simonson. A life sketch was given by Boyd Ruud.
A musical selection, "Somewhere My Love," was sung by Jaron Simonson. He was accompanied by Kristi Simonson. The speaker was Pres. Dell Maugham. A musical selection, "How Great Thou Art," was sung by Charla-Jo Olorenshaw. She was accompanied by Anne Olorenshaw.
The benediction was given by Brent Simonson. At the Lago Cemetery, the dedicatory prayer was given by Eric Simonson.
The Pallbearers were Eric Simonson, Tim Olorenshaw, Mitch Olorenshaw, Mike Olorenshaw, Wade Olorenshaw and Brent Simonson. The flowers were cared for by the Grace Third Ward Relief Society, Winifred Christensen, president.
Mr. Olorenshaw was born May 31 1901 in Salt Lake city, Utah, a son of Joseph and Helmer Mickelson Olorenshaw.
He was married to Lona Marie Swensen on 8 Dec 1927 in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He has been a life-long resident of Lago and Grace areas. He attended school in Grace and Lago. He retired from farming in 1973. During his younger years he was involved in logging and enjoyed carpentry work.
He is survived by his wife of Grace; two sons and one daughter. Ralph J Olorenshaw Salt Lake City, Joe S Olorenshaw, Soda Springs and Mrs. Von (Wilma) Simonsen, Grace. 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Lena Panter of Pocatello, Idaho.
