This photo of China, which I treasure, was given to me by her daughter, China Kaye (Walters) Bilbrey.
Mamie "China," the second of Sam & Lessie's Love children, was married to Edward Walters. She gave birth to twins in 1931 who died shortly after they were born.
Eight years later she gave birth to a daughter, whom they named China Kaye. "China" died four days later leaving Ed with a four day old infant.
