| Birth: | Aug. 7, 1890 | | Death: | Jun. 18, 1982 |  Augustina (Cuculich) Starcevich was born August 7, 1890, in Mrkopalj, Austria-Hungarian Empire (Yugoslavia-Croatia) to Marcum and Paulina (Crnic) Cuculich. Augustina's mother died when she was 9 years old, and she went to live and work with her father's half-sister, who lived on the Italian border and ran a restaurant. This is where she learned to speak Italian and how to make Italian and Yugoslavian food. She came to the United States through Ellis Island and then traveled to Red Lodge, Montana, in 1912, in order to marry Blaz Starcevich, and the wedding was 16 June 1912. Blaz and Augustina had 3 children: Rudolph, Pauline and Mary.
