Landscape artist. Bundy is known as the "Dean" of the "Richmond Group" of Indiana artists, and is particularly recognized for his impressionistic paintings of the Beech woods of Indiana. Moved with his Quaker family to Morgan County, Indiana from North Carolina in 1858. He studied briefly with Barton S. Hays in Indianapolis and went east to New York City for a time. He became professor of art at Earlham College 1887-1895. He built a home and studio at 527 East Main in Richmond. Influential in the founding of the Art Association of Richmond in 1898. His work is widely sought after as a part of private and public collections.
