October 2, 1931, Thomas Milton Ennis:
Following an illness of several months duration, death came last evening at 7:45 o'clock to Thomas Milton Ennis at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Francis Burrill in Roseville. Thomas Milton Ennis was the son of Thomas Henry and Fannie (Carroll) Ennis, and was born in Morgan County, Indiana, February 3, 1857. At the time of his death he was 74 years,7 months, 20 days of age. He was married to Sarah Lovewell and to this union four daughters were born, Mrs. C. F. Charlson, Galesburg, Mrs. Francis Burrill of Roseville, Mrs. A. W. Fisher and Mrs. Ruth Reinah of Detroit, Mich., all of whom survive him and his brother James Ennis of Avon also survive. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Olive chapel near Avon in charge of the Rev. Dan Bickel of Galesburg. Music was furnished by Ruth Williams Stites of Galesburg, who sang several lovely selection with Mrs. Green of Galesburg as accompanist. The pallbearers were L. V. Giffin, L. H. Lieurance, W. B. Callister, R. B. Stubblefield, Irvin Houtchins and James Anderson. Interment was made in a cemetery near Avon. Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Spencer of Indianapolis, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ennis, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Charlson and daughter Geraldine, John D. Chalson of Galesburg and Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Fisher and Mrs. E. R. Rainsh of Detroit.
