Eliza was the daughter of Robert & Jane Brown.

She married:

(1) Elias Kelley on 9 Nov 1852 in Hamilton Co., OH

(2) Samuel Marion Sprinkle on 25 Apr 1866 in Hamilton Co., OH.

Eliza & Elias Kelley had five children: Mary Ann; Lydia; Kate; Charlotte Isabelle "Belle" (Dodds); & Harry Ellsworth Kelley. Only Mary Ann and Belle reached adulthood. Mary Ann died at age 24. Belle is named in her stepfather Samuel Sprinkle's will and inherited equally with Samuel & Eliza's three surviving children. Belle's husband, Edwin S. Dodds, was co-executor of Samuel's estate.

Elias Kelley died during the Civil War in Selma, AL. After Elias' death, Eliza married Civil War veteran Samuel Marion Sprinkle. Sam had lost a leg during the war and was in a military hospital in Cincinnati. Eliza lived in Cincinnati, so that's apparently how they met. Eliza & Samuel Sprinkle had six children: Elizabeth (Townsend); Margaret); Myrtle (Dunham); Emerson L.; Daisy Pearl; and Grace Maud (Bennett).

Eliza's information is inscribed on the S.M. Sprinkle monument, on the same side with Sam and his 2nd wife. Smaller stones surround the monument and are engraved with "Mother," and "Father." Smaller stones also mark the graves of Sam & Eliza's daughters Margaret & Pearl and Eliza's son Harry Kelley.
