PNEUMONIA FATAL FOR PIONEER MAN
Cooper Services To Be Held Saturday
Funeral Services will be conducted from the Independence church Saturday morning for F. M. Cooper, 66, a pioneer resident of that community, who died early Wednesday morning of pneumonia.
Cooper, who had resided in the Independence area since 1803, had been ill with pneumonia for several days. Death came early Christmas morning. Final rites for Mr. Cooper will be held at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning with the Rev. W. S. Deering, Thomas officiating. Burial will be made in the Independence cemetery by the Kern & Schneider Funeral home.
Mr. Cooper was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist church and was well-known in the northern part of Custer county.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Eldred Crowder, of Freemon, Texas, and Mrs. Lester Anderson, of Oklahoma City; Othersurvivors include a sister Mrs. Mattie Holsteine, of Kirk Colo., and one brother W.R. Cooper of Byors Oklahoma.
