BROOKLYN PARK -- Loretta Jane Kruckow, age 63, of Brooklyn Park, passed away March 2, 2004, at her home. She was born June 2, 1940, in Ponto Lake Township to Fred Kruckow and Lena Belle Sawyer. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Backus High School. She worked at Investor's Diversified Services, which later became American Express, in Minneapolis for 36 years. She was very family-oriented, spending time at the family farm in Ponto Lake Township. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
Survived by her mother, Lena; sisters, Norma Hanson of Goodridge, Laura Norried of Ankeny, Iowa, and Jeanette Ferrarese of Oakdale, Calif.; brothers, Norbert of Minneapolis, Roland and Chris, both of Backus; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6 at Church of the Nazarene in Backus with Pastor Phil Cox officiating. Burial will be in Ponto Lake Cemetery, rural Backus. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
