Bennevile G. Prutzman died of old age Wednesday evening at his home 624 Moss Street, after an illness of 2 years. He was bedfast since New Years. Deceased was a native of Oley and came to this city (Reading) 60 years ago. Prior to the Civil War he was an engineer in the employ of the Reading Company and after serving his time in the war, he returned to this city and entered the employ of the Reading Company as a carpenter in the car shops. He served as a private in the 5th PA Cavalry under Capt. William H. Schaeffer. Mr. Prutzman was a member of McLean Post No. 16 G.A.R., Salem U.B. Church and the P.& R. Relief Association. Three children remain: Effinger, Malinda, wife of Wallace Yocum and William H.
