Funeral services for life long Seminole County resident Leta E. Patterson are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church.
Dr. Kelvin Moseley is set to officiate.
Internment is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Patterson died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003 at McLoud Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 2, 1909 in Maud to Oscar Wood and Della Wood.
She graduated from Maud High School in 1927 where she was the class valedictorian.
In 1928 she married Ruben Odis "Pat" Patterson in Oklahoma City.
In addition to being a homemaker, she owned, managed and cooked at several restaurants, including Pat's Café. She also worked with her husband in his business, Pat's Used Cars, as bookkeeper. They both retired in 1969.
Patterson was a longtime member at the First Baptist Church in Seminole where she had been president and Outreach Leader for the Lydia Sunday School Class for many years.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Bob and Ann Patterson of Shawnee and William "Bill" Ray Patterson of Tulsa; nine grandchildren, Pam Nicholson of Allen, Texas; Rick Patterson of Ft. Worth, Texas; Lisa Kutait of Little Rock, Ark.; LuAnn Nystrom of Lawrence, Kan.; Lauri Culver of Edmond; Karen Brunet, Debbie Wagner, Jeff Brunet, all of Anaheim, Calif. and Tonya Patterson of Tulsa; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including D.D. and Molly Patterson of Seminole.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Pat" Patterson on June 21,1975; three sisters; one brother, and daughter, Donna Brunet.
