KAY ANNETTE ANDERSON, 65, servant of the Living God was ushered into the presence of her Savior on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at her home following a fierce year long battle with multiple myeloma. Born June 26, 1945, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Robert and Doris (Green) Hersha. She graduated from Leo High School in 1963 and married her high school sweetheart, Bob Anderson, in August of 1963. "Kay is respected for her love of God, her love of family and her love for those whom are hurting. Kay was a giver at heart and always found ways to make people feel loved and important. She was a superb hostess for everything from weekly college student Bible studies in their home to parties for just about every occasion. Many marveled at her decorating abilities and especially loved to see her Christmas transformation every year." She was also an avid flower gardener with a passion for roses. She was a member of Grabill Missionary Church and also attended County Line Church of God while her son-in-law, Bob Herman pastored there. She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Connie Kay Anderson, Julie Jean Herman and Kristie Sue Ransom; nine grandchildren; mother, Doris; brother, Richard Hersha; and sister, Phyllis Morris. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Lynn; son, Timothy Alan; and father. A celebration service is 2 p.m. Saturday at County Line Church of God, Auburn. Visitation is from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at County Line Church of God, Auburn. Private burial in Leo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grabill Missionary Church Deacon's Fund or World Vision Clean Water Fund. Arrangements by Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, Ohio.
