WILLIAMS—Brenham, Tex.. Dec. 31.—Mrs. Sarah Ann Hoxie Williams, the aged mother of Hoxie Williams of Brenham, died Tuesday in Chicago at the residence of her daughter.
Mrs. Emmie Rivers, with whom she made her home. She was 90 years old. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Emmie Rivers of Chicago and Mrs. C. L. Anderson of Los Angeles, and two sons, Hoxie Williams of Brenham and Asa Williams of Independence. Her husband, the late Captain Williams, died many years ago. The body will be brought to her old home at Independence for burial.

WILLIAMS—Brenham—After a brief service at the residence of her son, Hoxie Williams, in Brenham, the body of Mrs. Sarah Ann Hoxey Williams, who died in Chicago, December 30, 1924. was taken to Independence, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. R. Preveto [Peveto], pastor of the First Baptist Church of Brenham. Mrs. Williams was the daughter of Dr. Asa Hoxey, a close friend of Gen. Sam Houston and a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence [sic: not true. Hoxey was not a signatory. T. McGuire]. She is survived by two sons, Hoxie Williams of Brenham and Asa Williams of Independence; two daughters, Mrs. Ennis Rivers of Chicago and Mrs. C. L. Anderson of Los Angeles,
