The funeral of John Sarnecky was held yesterday morning from the family home, Barnum avenue, Stratford. A high mass of requiem was sung at 9 o'clock at St James' church by the Rev. Michael J. O'Connor. Burial took place in St. Michael's cemetery.

According to his U.S. World War I Draft Registration Cards, dated June 5 1917, Mr. Sarnecky was a shipper clerk at the Remington Arms factory.
He was only 24 years old. Died in 1918, time of the Great Flu Pandemic and TB epidemic in Bridgeport.
