Donald Earl Jenkins, 63, of Blairs, VA passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Born in Onslow County, he was the son of the late Leslie Earl and Dorothy Lanier Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Donnie and Nathaniel Jenkins and brother, Roger Jenkins.

Mr. Jenkins served his Country with the U.S. Army and was a Maintenance Supervisor with Ballou Park Center in Danville, VA. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Temple “Cissy” Stewart Jenkins of the home; daughters, Amanda Farmer and husband Eddie of Appling, GA, Laura Marlowe and husband Richard of Danville, VA, and Tonia Ormond and husband David of Kinston; son, Steven Jenkins of Kinston; six grandchildren; sister, Joe Anne Jenkins of Hubert; brother, Tony Jenkins and wife Kim of Stella; and “the light of his eye”, his precious dog, Brandi.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Richard Marlowe (son-in-law) and Joe Anne Jenkins(sister) officiating. Graveside services will follow at Westview Cemetery.
