Retired Tarrant County Sheriff's Office. Helen E. Stephens passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Guardian Funeral Home. Helen was born Nov. 17, 1940, in Covington, Tenn. She served with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department and was a peace officer for almost 20 years. She enjoyed nature walks, friends, animals, art, singing, cooking, and sharing with family. She volunteered with the SPCA and made charitable donations for the needy. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Cecil Davidson and Lydia Vera Hall; her husband, Wilbern Neal Stephens; and daughter, Melody Rae Guadian. She is deeply missed by all as she enters God's kingdom. Survivors: Daughters, Cheri L. Johns and Rheaba D. Wilson; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
