Weda Emily Hylton Batten, 77, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 31, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Samuel Batten; her daughter, Tammy Towler; stepdaughter, Nancy Miller; her son, Terry Swift; stepson, Sam Batten; seven grandchildren, Matt, Garrett, Christian, Ryan Towler, Crystle Shirley, Gary Plummer, Cheyenne Batten; one great-grandchild, Avery Shirley; her sister, Freda Donavan; and her best friend, Thelma Lester. Mrs. Batten was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals Company.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday. Interment Dale Memorial Park.
