Lon Boatright, 79 years old, 120 Henry Street, died Monday, October 21, 1964 at Memorial hospital after a short illness. He was born March 8, 1884, in Van Buren, Arkansas and lived here all of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist church and was a painter and contractor. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rosalie Boatright; a foster son, Billy of Tulsa; three brothers, Percy of Van Buren, W. V. of Fort Smith and Carl of Memphis; three sisters Mrs. G. Winfrey of California, Mrs. F. Anderson of Van Buren and Mrs. E. Covey of Fort Smith. The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Baptist Church with Robert Morrison, officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
