Jean Drake was a much loved musician and piano teacher who performed throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for over 50 years.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Raymond, with whom she shared a deep love of music, travel and family. Jean is survived by her daughters, Pamm Drake and Cynthia Sagen, her three grandsons and five great-grand-children.
Viewing will be Saturday October 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Albert Brown Mortuary, 3476 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, (510) 652-1873, followed by a burial service at Saint Mary's Cemetery, 4529 Howe Street, Oakland at 2 p.m. A memorial celebration of Jeannie's life will be held on her birthday, March 17, at Dance 10 Performing Arts Center, 900 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda at 1:00 PM.
Donations may be made to the non-profit 'Dance/10 Dancers Inc.' for the Jeannie Drake Friendship Fund, 1675 Gouldin Road, Oakland, CA. , 94611.
