Funeral services for J. R. Carter, former Hunt County resident who died Sunday in San Antonio, were held at the Salem-Kinser Methodist Church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Harrison Baker. Interment was in the Tidwell cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bob Shields, Herbert Spradling, R. Q. Nicholson, Charlie Harper, Fleet Claiborne, Charlie Jacobs.
