Born by about 1582 based on estimated date of marriage. He was a pilgrim at Leiden, Holland, a passenger on the MAYFLOWER & signer of the Mayflower Compact on 11 Nov 1620.
He was hanged, in September 1630 at Plymouth, for killing Pilgrim John Newcomen. His Mayflower "Silver Book" lists the many occasions on which this man or his sons were in trouble with Plymouth authorities during the first decade of the colony's existence.
He married Elinor _____ by about 1607. She married (2) between 14 and 21 September 1638 Gregory Armstrong and was living as late as 2 March 1642/3.
John & his wife had two children: John & Francis.
