FUNERAL OF C. G. FURST WAS LARGELY ATTENDED
Clinton County Bar Association Draft Resolutions Upon the Death of Oldest Member---Memorials Read by Several Members

The funeral of Cline G. Furst, Esq., was held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from his late residence on West Water street, and was largely attended by friends and neighbors who came to pay a last tribute to one of the oldest and most esteemed citizens of this community. His body reposed in a handsome casket, which was surrounded with beautiful flowers.
The services were conducted by Rev. John A. MacSporran, pastor of Great Island Presbyterian church, assisted by Rev. Dr. Conklin. The casket bearers were P. ? Griffin, Joseph Grafius, Hon. W. S. Harris and John R. Stevenson. Interment, which was private, was made in Highland Cemetery.....
Cline G. Furst was born in Clinton county, March 13, 1827, and after a course of study in the office of H. ? H. N. McAllister at Bellefonte, Penna. was admitted to the practice of the law in Centre county Penna. on August 23, 18?2. In the years 186? he removed to Lock Haven, Penna. and began practice in Clinton county, where he remained in the active and successful practice of his profession,until within a short time prior to his death on November 28, 1907, being at the time of his decease the senior member of our bar, both in age and years of practice...
Ex-Senator S. R. Peale said that he believed he was now the oldest member in service of the local bar and he felt that it was appropriate that he should make a few remarks. He said that Cline G. Furst was in active practice of the law when he came to Lock Haven 47 years ago and that he was the last of a coterie of strong lawyers who were at that time members of the Clinton county bar...
