OBITUARY: Services are scheduled Friday, December 8, at 2 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Chapel for James M. "Jim" Conley, 59, of 413 Osage who died Wednesday of an apparent heart seizure. Conley, an Osage County employee, suffered the fatal seizure while working with the county road department near Grainola. Born June 18, 1913, Conley was the son of Thomas E. and Jewel Conley. He was married in Wynona February 12, 1932 to Georgia Rowden. Conley was a member of the American Legion Post 97 and a veteran of World War II, serving with Patton's Third Army, 45th Division. He has been employed by Osage County since 1942. Survivors include the wife, Georgia, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Martha) Brown of Wynona; four sons, Dick of Wichita, Kan., Jim and Benny of Pawhuska, and Carl of Clearwater, Kan.; a brother, Tom of Pawhuska; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Butler of Pomeroy, Wash., Mrs. Herschel (Blanche) Johnson,Mrs. Mary Evertson of Wynona and Mrs. Paul (Betty) Fisher of Dewey; and 11 grandchildren. Burial will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home.
