Amos Starr Cochran, 56, succumbed to a heart attack suddenly on his farm west of Catoosa, on Tuesday, November 24, 1970. Services were held Friday, at 2:00 pm in Moores Eastlawn Chapel, Tulsa. He was born November 29, 1914 on the farm where he died. He was a Catoosa High School graduate, and his entire life was spent in the Catoosa-Tulsa area. He was a member of the Rock Masonic Lodge, Blue Lodge Mason, Saba Grotto, Vice-President of Earl Offutt Plumbing Company, past Vice-President of Union Local 176, member of American Quarter Horse Association, Oklahoma Palomino Horse Association, and Oklahoma Racing Association. Survivors are, wife Irene, 726 S. 94th E. Ave. Tulsa; two daughters, Rhonda Yvonne Cochran, of the home; Mrs. Donna Sue Wilhelm, and two grandchildren, Mark and Sue Ann, all of Ramona, Oklahoma. Father and step-mother, George Cochran, Jr. and Mary Cochran of Afton, Oklahoma. Three sisters, Sue Nell Willett, Tulsa; Thelma Martindale, Rt. 10, Tulsa; Ruth Bridges, Rt. 1, Catoosa. Also, two brothers, Stanley Cochran, Rt. 10, Tulsa; and Harold H. Cochran, Vancouver, Washington. Pall bearers were Chick Holderman, J.T. Walters, Sam Offutt, J.C. Gaines, Vern Adams, Bob Buriss, Dale Haver, and Charles Hayes. Honorary pallbearers were George Worthe, Brad Dockrey, Mike Galvin, Lee Adams, Vern Wyble, and Earl Offutt. Interment was in Memorial Park Moores Eastlawn.
