MARSEILLES — Dorothy M. Sass, 90, of rural Marseilles, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, at Ottawa Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Marseilles Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is in charge of arrangements.
She was born May 30, 1919, in Ottawa, to Herbert and Margaret (Hileman) Myer. In 1962, she married F. Leonard Sass of Long Point, who preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a member of Marseilles Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening and her family.
Survivors include two sons, Frank (Gloria) of Streator and Tom (Sheila) of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred King and Mae (Donald) Thompson, both of Lakeland, Fla.; four brothers, Floyd (Ruth) Myer of Marathon, Iowa, Everett (Phyllis) and Dale (Norma) Myer, both of Ottawa, and Maynard (Jean) Myer of Marseilles; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers, Herbert, Harold, Howard and Lloyd Myer.
Memorials may be directed to Marseilles Church of the Nazarene.
